Born and raised in Sioux Lookout.
Barb Molstad was born and raised in Sioux Lookout. Her family has deep roots here — her father worked as a CN engineer and her mother operated Friendly Freddies, a beloved local restaurant and convenience store.
Barb later took over the business and created Sam's Place, which became a well-known gathering place for local high school students. She went on to build a career in real estate, eventually purchasing the business where she worked and establishing Molstad Realty, where she serves as a real estate broker.
She has given back to the community through service, including serving as President of the Sioux Lookout Rotary Club.
