What Does Municipal Council Do?
Municipal council is the elected governing body of the Municipality of Sioux Lookout. Council members make decisions on a wide range of matters that directly affect daily life in the community — from roads and infrastructure to local bylaws, budgets, and community services.
Council sets the municipality's strategic direction, approves the annual budget, and represents the interests of residents in dealings with the provincial government and other bodies. - You are at least 18 years of age on election day
- You are a resident of the Municipality of Sioux Lookout, or you are a non-resident owner or tenant of land in the municipality
